Edward Tufte is someone I enjoy reading about, there was an article about him recently in the Irish FT Weekend Magazine which was centered around graphics. Something I find amusing is his take on Powerpoint presentations as this is an area I've been working in http://www.edwardtufte.com/tufte/powerpoint

That article about Tufte was in the FTimes Magazine (usually issued n Saturdays) - which is printed as a magazine in the UK and Ireland, but not sually available as a magazine elsewhere.
